Fishing and earthquakes – have an eel in one hour
It was the summer of 1982 and the family of the Highlands Scotland has been enjoying a rare hot summers.
My father bought me my first fishing rod from local Tackle Fishing Store Was a bright yellow was brilliant a mile, and maybe it was a sign of things to come!
I knew nothing about fishing, but I could not wait to test the new rod in the nearby lake. My father set up the gear for me and I started out, hoping to catch many fish, but we did not think what to do with them once they have taken!
It was a glorious sunny days, warm and after a few minutes walk from where we stayed, arrived at the lake and settled into position. A neighbor friend of one of the wooden huts had been fishing a little above the rest in the bank and decided he was having a great hit with his landing net is already showing signs of activity!
Only a matter of time, I thought naively, before I turn into the giant trout, the carp and bass! I decided I do not sit down because I was not sure a lot of activity and the fishing action!
I noticed the type most over the bank was doing a capture what seemed every few minutes. I also realized and the type cursed confirmed that "another unfortunate eel! That everything has been loaded into the eel! But at least I caught something.
One o'clock must be adopted and I had long since Sat man was cursing his luck and still reeling from the eel, while I curse the fact everyone seemed to be flying!
When I finally gave up several hours later, the end result was something like this, "the man on land, at least 30 eels, and little me OLE, two pieces of grass and a packet of crisp! "
A few years later, a holiday Wales, was one better! In the midst of one of the most powerful earthquakes in the United Kingdom during the years I have been net fishing in a river and caught my first carp! Hooray! Earthquake did not know until later because he had not felt a thing.
It is fair to say that I am not an expert angler, but I have always maintained an interest in fishing, in spite of my humble origins.
